More coming to TFQ

Tags: , , , , ,

under-constructionOver the past few weeks I’ve been working quietly on The Founder’s Quandary, speaking to other entrepreneurs in a variety of industries and cities, as well as some folks in the media who focus on entrepreneurship, to a professor at Harvard Business school. I will be posting more details on these relationships and will introduce additional content and contributors to TFQ soon, but in the meantime I’ve included a couple new links in the blogroll (on the right side of all pages on this site). These links include:

  • Harvard Business School Professor Noam Wasserman’s “Founder Frustrations” blog and research. I had the pleasure of meeting with Noam last week at his office at HBS and we spoke for about an hour about his research, class at HBS, among other things including my own realities as a Founder. I’m really excited about this relationship in particular, as I feel that Noam’s research, case studies, and the dialogues on his site are about as relevant to TFQ as anything I’ve seen out there. Noam is truly bushwhacking is way through unchartered territory, so stay tuned for more on this relationship and I encourage you head over to his site and subscribe to his feed. As described on Noam’s site:
  • I am a professor in the Entrepreneurial Management unit at Harvard Business School. My research focuses on Founder Frustrations, and I would love to get your feedback on my early research findings, ideas for new issues/”frustrations” to study, and input based on your experiences.
  • A site that recently grabbed my attention on Tom Summit’s Genotrope twitter feed is “For Entrepreneurs” from David Skok. The content on David’s site is very relevant and also refreshing, given that David has crossed the street from entrepreneur to VC, and seems to maintain his entrepreneurial spirit on his site. The site is chock-full-of-content and its another site I recommend for all you founders out there. As David puts it:
  • 4-Entrepreneurs was created by David Skok, a serial entrepreneur turned VC, and is contributed to by other guest bloggers who represent some of the best entrepreneurial and executive minds in the business.

There’s a few other things happening with TFQ, and I’m still working on developing the site, and adding more features and content, but much of this is happening as time allows. Slowly but surely it’s coming along. I’m wide open to anyone who wants to help out, be it helping develop this site, contributing content, or starting some local offline meetups. This stuff is pretty unorganized right now but my behind-the-scenes strategy is steadily progressing and I’m looking forward to bring it all to you soon.

Happy holidays everyone.
